Ricki Ramirez
Born and raised in Chicago, been in the food industry for over 20 years. Started working in fast food in my teenage years, moved to Florida, worked for Busch Gardens Tampa, as their Culinary Assistant Manager. Moved back to Chicago, and was approached by Aramark in their culinary department for their executive suites. My passion for food and the adrenaline rush of game days was what I loved. I was selected to be part of the culinary team to help with the grand opening of the New Minnesota Vikings USBank stadium! Sports and Entertainment was then my passion and future. I then was contacted by One Off Hospitality, Big Star to come and work for their new location opening in Wrigleyville. Being a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs, I jumped on the opportunity! Working for One Off has been an amazing journey so far, having to be a part of a team alongside Paul Kahan and Chris Miller, has been such a great opportunity. I love Big Star, the fact that its concept is Mexican/Tex-Mex food, and being of Mexican descent, and the fact that Paul & Chris listen to all of our ideas, and help see them through is something you do not get anywhere else. They genuinely care and that is what keeps me here at Big Star!
