James Pryor
James’ culinary career began early on, inspired by his Southern Italian family and their love and respect for quality and tradition. A New York, New York native He
sought opportunities to further develop his own creativity that had a desire and passion for food. James’ culinary repertoire flourished during Internships and stagés within Geoffrey Zakarian Tudor House and Craft with Chef Tom Colicchio.
After spending a few months at the Italian Culinary Institute, James took his career to sunny Florida and attended Johnson and Wales University in North Miami. There is where the technical side of the industry came in, this is where he landed himself at Columbus Hospitality which led him to become the corporate Chef De Cuisine.
It was there where he extended his skills to all outlets of the hotels, landing him as the fine dining culinaire of the hospitality group which managed 16 different properties and in total had 9 fine dining restaurants. There is where you could find him teasing the palettes of the Resorts and restaurant’s most exclusive clientele.
Today, James can be found spearheading new projects and revamping existing concepts within Nationals Park serving as the Property Senior Executive Chef. In his role, James works alongside a multitude of Chefs to create and provide a better dining experience for the fans at Nationals Park. According to James, his greatest accomplishments are and always will be “his family”.
